After just six months from contract signature (end of 2013) the University of Liverpool has completed a successful implementation of tick@lab and go ‘live’ with using the system throughout its biomedical services unit.
tick@lab now manages all processes, animals and facilities in an integrated way. This includes successful and streamlined cost recovery operations and the required record keeping for ASPA and the EU directive 2010/63/EU to ensure regulatory compliance.
Prior to the introduction of tick@lab the University was keeping paper records. Now colony management, Home office recording, management of training and competency, task request management and billing are all handled in a secure way with an audit trail. All records are easily accessible for users through access to the system via their web browsers.
“We have worked hard, but I am absolutely over the moon with the system and the support that we have received from a-tune has been wonderful. From the word ‘Go’ they have been there to assist, advise and support us.” Lynn McLaughlin, BSU Manager.
Andreas Staubi, CEO of a-tune software AG is equally pleased with the project success: “Lynn and her team have really driven this project forwards and we have been happy to support her to achieve her milestones. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with the University of Liverpool.”
