Introduction

Application performance is dependent on several parameters

  • Size of the dataset
  • No of concurrent users
  • Network latency and network utilization, CPU, memory …..

Identifying the root cause of an incident or performance issue can become quite challenging and time consuming as at the time of the investigation the parameters which had an impact might have changed.

a-tune’s Application Insight collects continuously all parameters which might have an impact and does analyze and visualize them. Performance measure-ments are done on the server(s) and even more important from the locations where the users of the monitored applications are located.

The Application Insight is applicable to any underlying product technology including for example both Quantrix and E-WorkBook from IDBS. The Applica-tion Insight is compatible with a range of hardware configurations including Amazon Webservices as well as in-house environments.

  • webservice calls
  • creation of records
  • deleting of records
  • opening of records
  • modification of records
  • searches
  • any other actions available based on web service calls
  • Network and server information based on SNMP
  • Network and server information based on customers monitoring system
  • Application log files
  • Alerting based on email if a parameter is above a certain threshold
  • Database monitoring based on sql
  • Parameters can be collected from different network segments
  • Customer specific log files
