Vermillion, SD - Aug 22, 2013

a-tune software Inc., a leading global software solution provider to the medical research community, announces a technology partnership with the University of South Dakota. The institution has chosen the company’s tick@lab software application as the primary tool to provide administrative oversight for research studies conducted at the University.

“a-tune software’s application, tick@lab, will provide the University with the ability to consolidate regulatory compliance management of our IACUC, IRB, IBC, along with the daily management of the vivarium. “ says Dr. Peter Autenried, Director of Laboratory Animal Resources, University of South Dakota. Dr. Autenried goes on to say “the selection of a-tune was made based on the application’s ability to leverage the latest technologies. Browser independence along with the ability to access the software using the IPad, Tablet, Mac or PC was significant factor. What also impressed me was that their project team consists of professionals that have worked within the laboratory animal science industry and simply put, they know our business.”

“Working on the project with the University of South Dakota is exciting. The University commitment to deploy all modules of tick@lab will enable them to maintain a leadership position within the medical research community in regard to the use of software assisted compliance tools.” said J. Patrick Guider, Jr. General Manager, North American Operations “It is such a privilege having been selected by USD. USD commitment to excellence goes beyond the University. This fall over 500 research professionals are expected to participate in the NIH SBIR/STTR national conference that highlights funding opportunities for small business and is hosted by the USD Research Park in Sioux Falls.”
